Design a Day- Day 7 and 8

DAY 7
Shades of Spring- this multi-color bracelet will go with any outfit. Its made with purple, green and yellow crystal beads, black/clear crackle beads and 3 ivory glass pearls. It measures about 8.25 inches round memory wire (for bracelets).
Kata created this beautiful bracelet because she loves color.  She picked up all my bead boxes, placed them in front of her and started creating.  She would come over to me and show me all the bracelets she created and they are very beautiful.  This bracelet is very comfortable on the wrist as well.
Please click on SHADES OF SPRING to purchase this beautiful creation in my Etsy shop:

DAY 8
Black Out bracelet- made with black crystal beads that measure from 4mm, 6mm and 8mm. Has one large bead that is wrapped with black stain rope and silver findings.
It measures about 8.25 inches round memory wire (for bracelets).

As you know, I LOVE BLACK.  When I saw these wonderful beads I just had to have them.  They look so lovely in person and you can easily use this bracelet as a causal wear or for an evening event.  It's very comfortable on your wrist and no fear of it falling off your wrist.  I love creating this and I hope you do too.
I have 3 of these bracelets available.  Please click on this link BLACK OUT bracelet to purchase on my Etsy shop.
Thanks! ;)

Custom Order- NY Mets Set- and not for a GUY!!!

I had fun creating this wonderful set for a great repeat customer.  She apparently loves the METS and wants to represent with this beautiful set.

These are official Major League Baseball pendants. Actual pendant measures 2.5 cm across and 2.5 cm tall.
Earrings: Length of earrings w/ hook are about 3 inches long.
Necklace: pendant is hanging off a 16 inches round gunsmoke color chain with a 3 inch extender. Actual pendant measures 2.5 cm across and 2.5 cm tall.Chain also one royal blue bicone and one orange crystal bead hanging on the sides of pendant.

The colors of the glass crystals I used really bring out the details of the pendants.  I shipped them out today and I know that Stefanie will be pleasantly surprised when she sees it in person.  My hubby loved it too.

Woo Hoo!  Let's go Mets!!!

Very busy weekend.....

Hello to all!  It has been a very busy weekend thus far.  We are in the process of painting our living room and dining area.  A fresh coat of paint goes a looooonnnnnngggg way!  Since moving to where we live, we have been "okay" with the drab off-white color.  But after a few years, it grows on you, but in a blah way.  My brother-in-law came this week and started the ball rolling.  We painted the living room a very pretty pastel baby blue that changes colors.  By that I mean that during the day it looks one way, in the afternoon another way and in the evening another.  Strange, but good.  We painted the dining area a brown that looks like chocolate milk.  It compliments the blue so nicely.  Over all its coming along great.
I am not posting any new creations today because, as you guessed it, I'm beat.  LOL!  But I promise that I will post new creations either tomorrow or Monday.
Thanks to all that are a fan to my page and I look forward in sharing more in the next few days!
Good night!!

Design a Day- Day 3 and 4

Day 3
Crystals & Ribbons Set- This wonderful set consists of a pair of earrings and a necklace that are made with black ribbons, black and white crystals. This set is very pretty if you want have a elegant evening out on the town.
This set was inspired by my love of black.  When I was a teenager all I would wear was dark colors and black was on the top of my list.  But as I got older, the world was not just black and white, but full of color.  But black remained as one of my key colors.  It goes with everything, right!?
This set is not just black, but it sparkles and it has such a delicate look to it.  I loved putting it together and I hope you like it too.

Day 4
Burst of Orange and Brown Tones- this set consists of earrings with a matching necklace. A mixture of dark orange and brown resin beads with silver tone round beads.
Length of earrings with hook is 2 inches long and length of necklace is 24 inches round. Beads on necklace are free and can be worn w/ closure in the front, the back or side- whatever your mood is.

This set was inspired by my love of coffee....coffee?  Yes coffee.  the colors of the beads with the mixture of the silver tone beads just reminded me of a great satisfying cup of coffee I would get at Starbucks.  Coffee is such a pick me up that it makes me feel free and ready to conquer my day.  I hope this set will inspire you to feel that way too.

Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection- Crystal Rondelles Earrings Necklace and Bracelet Set Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection- Crystal Rondelles Earrings Necklace and Bracelet Set Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection- Crystal Rondelles Earrings Necklace and Bracelet Set Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection- Crystal Rondelles Earrings Necklace and Bracelet Set Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection- Crystal Rondelles Earrings Necklace and Bracelet Set
Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection - (Inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker)- this collection is made with crystal clear rondelles- sizes 8mm and 10mm. The pictures do not do this collection justice. The shimmer the light reflects off these pieces are truly lovely.
Collection consists of matching earrings, necklace and bracelet.

This set was inspired by what Joyce from Baby's Breath Handmade asked me to make for her.  She emailed me a picture of what Sarah Jessica Parker wore in one of the movies she came out in not too long ago.  I said to her, "Sure, no problem!  I can do it for you..."  Well the necklace alone is brilliant, but I felt that I needed to make more.  So I made the matching earrings and Kata made the matching bracelet.  Presto! Lola's Glimmering Eyes Collection came to life.  The reason why I chose to entitle this collection Lola's Glimmering Eyes is because Joyce's little girl has such beautiful eyes that they glimmer when she smiles.  I loved and enjoyed put this collection together for Joyce and I hope you do too!

Earrings are made with two 10 mm crystal clear rondelles and silver tone chain.
Length of earrings are about 1.75 to 2 inches long

The necklace is made with 8 crystal clear rondelles- sizes (4) 8mm and (4) 10mm. Length of necklace is 16 inches round. The bracelet is made with both crystal clear rondelles and crystal clear glass beads- measures about 7.75 inches round.

Perfect to wear if you're going out casual or in the evening.

A must see Vintage Newsboy Cap and Matching Diaper Cover

My good friend Joyce from Baby's Breath Handmade has created the most cutest photography prop for new born boys.  Here is what she said in her blog:

"Girls, step aside....this one is for the BOYS!!!! hee hee  My design of the day is a vintage newsboy beanie with a matching diaper cover.  Absolutely perfect for photography!!!  I keep picturing photos with a newborn baby boy with a vintage toy truck or vintage signs in the background.  How sweet would that be???"

This is so cute that I wish I was pregnant just to have it!

Please stop by Joyce's blog and Etsy shop to find out all her latest designs and what she's working on next.
Just let her know that Maria from Maria & Kata Jewelry Creations sent you and you will definitely will not be disappointed!

Design a Day- March 1st and 2nd

It was very exciting to finally start the "Design a Day" for the month of March.  My first piece called "Big, Bold and Blue"
After looking at many different magazines for the upcoming Spring season, big and bold is the "in" thing. When I was shopping for beads and these beads really stood out to me.  They were big, blue and bold.  Perfect for Spring (or any season I say). I thought that these would make a wonderful pair of earrings.
Kata loved the color too because she loves blue! LOL!
I hope you enjoy my newest creation for Day 1:

Day 2- Design a Day for March 2011

This design "Blue and Purple Earrings and Necklace Set" was created after having some grapes one day.  I loved grapes- especially the green kind, since the purple one give me an allergic reaction. :(  The color beads I had reminded me of the purple grapes that I cannot have, so I decided to make a set of what I can't have.  I mixed blue resin beads and purple resin beads to make this beautiful set.  I used gunmetal pins to give it a nice smokey feel.  I loved how it came out and I hope you do too!
